Veterans Day

Thursday, November 11, 2010

Its Veterans Day. To the majority of our country, that means the banks are closed and the mail doesn't run. To the rest of us, it means much much more than that.

We take the time to remember those who have served our country..

"To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with lots of pride in the heroism of those who died in the country's service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations."

And because I don't have any photographs of any of my close relatives in uniform, even though I'm quite certain that some of them served, I'll post a photo of my husband, who is currently enlisted...
