(never a) Wordless Wednesday: The Great Bubby Powder Battle

Wednesday, July 14, 2010

(I was sitting here, just minding my own business, typing away on the keyboard, when ..."whats that I smell? ...It smells like bubby powder", but- *looks around the empty room* "the kids are upstairs playing, Christopher is in the kitchen cooking eggs- I must be just imagining it".)

(Right. Imagining it.)

(...)

(And when I get upstairs, what do I find??)

(Their weapon of choice.)

(A whole lotta "ummm, but Charlie!"'s and "but, but- pooh bear!"'s.)

(One of the wounded soldiers, with temporary freshly scented battle scars.)

(And a Daddy doing a bad job at hiding his laughter over their poorly described explanations of the war.)

(Footprints, forever sculpted in the aftermath.)

(An abandoned vehicle. It never saw the storm coming.)

(Man down! Man down!)

(Looks like they got him in the leg.)

(These kids sure don't mess around. They make their enemies suffer.)

(Fallen stars and the brave toys who fought beside them.)

(The destruction of the deadly powder cloud traveled far and wide. Its rains reaching all the way to the diaper wipe village in way out in closet land.)

(Just barely dusting the outskirts of the fingernail polish forest.)

(Eventually taking over the east wing of the Celebration Castle at the top of Mt. Entertainment Center in Pony Ville.)

(It was a sad day, for all of the upstairs dwellers.)

(Shall we take another look at the weapons?)

(Oh the chaos, that your kind caused.)

(And now- a moment of silence...)

(You may have won the epic bubby powder battle this time, children.)

(But there is always a next time. And next time- you might not be so lucky.)
(Whatever that means.)

Thanks for the best laugh I've had today! I'm thinking, better something that smells nice, though I don't envy whoever got to clean all of that fine powder up.
