Bomber, a winner, and a shot in the hip.

Thursday, September 4, 2008

Before I get to who won the suck-day giveaway this week, I have to hoot and holler over the return of my Kitty Bomber!! She was gone for 2 days, in which time we were constantly opening and closing the front door calling for her, which let in about 9,000 flies that we're still swatting off. I was beginning to think that somebody else must have taken Kitty into their home for loves, pets, and kitty crunchies, but finally at 5am, there she was! And oooh, what a dirty kitty. Shes cleaned herself up pretty good by now, but we went out and got some kitty shampoo, and we're going to attempt to suds her up sometime today. I don't think I've ever given a cat a bath? Or, if I have, which, what am I talking about, of course I have, its just been so long I can't remember. Well, its going to be an adventure, that's for sure. Welcome home Kitty Bomber! You're never leaving the house ever again!

Yesterday morning I woke up with a sore throat, sore ears, sinus pressure, all that good stuff. Usually when this happens (I have a totally crappy immune system), I wait a few weeks to go see the doctor, and by then I've got strep. Since I'm pregnant I decided not to take any chances, and called the doctor asap. I was getting the worlds largest shot of antibiotics in my ass, which they like to call your "hip", within hours. Since Miss Elie Sue was in the room crying "mama mama!" at the sight of the needle, I had to pretend like it tickled. Have you ever forced yourself to laugh while getting an injection of hell into your butt? If you have, then you can please join me in the badass moms club now. No matter how badass though, my "hip" still really hurts.

And now, on to the the part that you've all been waiting for. Its Thursday! Win day! The random number generator assisted me this morning in picking an entry from this weeks suck-day post. The winner-winner-winner of a brand new bitchin' pair of monster pick earrings, is etsy user curlyfrysc! Hurray! *tosses tacky glittery confetti into the air*. Thanks everyone that participated this week. And an extra special big thanks to Maggie, who sponsored the giveaway! If you missed the giveaway and didn't get a chance to check out her shop, make sure you do! And don't forget to come back next week for a great giveaway sponsored by Space Oddities! You're excited aren't you?

aw poor kitty! I'm glad to see she's back! My mom always told me cats are really smart and always find their way home...eventually...when they feel like it. If only they knew the turmoil and worry they caused!

Cute Kitty!!!
Glad to hear she is home and safe.

Ms. Jessie September 4, 2008 at 10:18 AM

yeah for Kitty being home. I have given O a bath a few times and it sounds like I am trying to kill her. She also has claws so it is a very dangerous task. Good luck!!
