Rain boots.

Thursday, June 11, 2009

Something I never owned, even though I grew up in Washington state, was a pair of rain boots. It seemed like puddle stomping, and the like, were never appealing to my mom. I wasn't raised with those sort of adventures. Is all too obvious to me now, that those are the things that make life worth living.
Eleanore got her very first pair or rain boots.

Love them! My mom was not of the puddle stompin sort either, but I remember getting a raincoat-boot-umbrella combo in baby blue and yellow, and sitting around wearing it INSIDE because it thrilled me so much. (Oh, and I did stomp every puddle between the school and my house.)

My mom was not a puddle stomping kinda lady either.
I got my very first pair of rain boots last winter. 28 years later...I love them :)

I think it is so cute that you and Elie stomp in puddles. I think my mom and dad were so overprotective of me, I never had those little adventures either!

And I got my first pair of rain boots this past winter...except I call them snow boots because they keep out the snow, lol.

In Michigan we always had winter boots (oh, the moon boots). My mother was also not into letting us go out and romp in the rain, but we did always somehow have a rain coat, and I had the most adorable red umbrella with pandas on it
: )

very whimsical!

Cute boots. I loved puddle stomping! Such a simple joy. Why do we have to grow up?

I really believe that I need a pair of rain boots as well. If I ever had any, they weren't nearly this cute!
