The other day as we were on our way to the store, I spotted a fallen leaf on our front porch. Considering I've seen maybe one tree with color changing leaves around here, that's exciting!! I ran to it, before it had a chance to get away, and immediately handed it to Eleanore, who as you can see, thought it was just as great as Christmas. She carried it with her in the car, and throughout the entire store. Today the skies are cloudy, and its a freezing 52 degrees. Well, freezing for us, haha. Has fall finally come to Texas? Oh fall, I thought you'd never get here...

Aww she looks totally thrilled by that leaf!
If you need some more I'm happy to send you some, they are all through my yard... and this chick doesn't rake.
I love the look of excitement on her face with the leaf! I feel that too when I sense that Fall is nearing. Hope the cool weather sticks!
Aww, how lucky are you that she is so easy to please! I love the fall. It is a welcome break from the heat.
Awww...so cute! I don't have falling leaves over here...it's not even cold yet. But when I do see one, I'd be excited as you and Eleanor! :-)
She is such a doll!!! My daughter and I "fight" over who gets to walk through the crunchy leaves on the way to school. Haha! One of my favorite things in the whole world.
Wow! She is totally adorable!!!
I am from New England - and the foliage in NH is just amazing right now! I am glad to see that the sweet essence of fall has made it to Texas!

The weather was cooling off here nicely, but now we're back up to 80's..bleh.
LOL, this cracked me up. Yesterday, Gracie saw a tree that had lost all of its leaves. "What happened to that tree? Is it dead?" she innocently asked.
So I sat down next to her and told her all about the seasons and that summer is over and it is fall.. and that fall is when all of the leaves fall off the tree and all that.
She looked at me as if I was nuts, and then very pointedly looked at every other tree around us, all with fat green leaves. Then she gave me a look as if to say, "Whatever, Mom, you know nothing." and she skipped away. So I guess there are two trees in Abilene that lose their leaves.
Eleanor would love it here in Montreal - plenty of leaves!!! What a great photo :)
Awww! What a beautiful picture. SHe really does look like she got the best gift ever :-)
How cuuuuuute. I'd kill for 53 degrees right now! I swear we went from a perfect 75 degrees to 32 and snowing on our trip!
